소개
샤머니즘연구센터(CSS)는 샤머니즘을 인간 경험과 문화적 실천으로서 연구합니다. 인류학, 종교학, 역사학, 사회학, 심리학, 뇌인지과학 등 다양한 분야의 성과를 결합하여 샤머니즘에 통합학문적으로 접근합니다.
특히 한국 사회의 도덕성, 권위, 공동체 형성과 깊이 연결된 한국무속 연구에 전문성을 갖습니다. 본 센터는 국제 학자들과의 교류를 통해 세계 샤머니즘 연구를 종합·연결하는 글로벌 허브로 기능하고자 합니다.
About CSS
The Center for the Study of Shamanism (CSS) investigates shamanism as both a fundamental human experience and a cultural practice. By integrating research from diverse fields—including anthropology, religious studies, history, sociology, psychology, and brain-cognitive sciences—CSS adopts a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach. We possess particular expertise in Korean Shamanism (Musok), which is intricately linked to the formation of morality, authority, and community within Korean society. Through active exchange with international scholars, CSS aims to serve as a global hub that synthesizes and connects shamanism research from around the world.
